One of the most iconic landmarks in the world, London’s Tower Bridge is set to get a makeover for the 2012 Games, in time to be beamed around the world to millions of people when all eyes turn to the capital for London 2012. Plans to replace Tower Bridge’s 25 year-old lights with a new energy efficient system were granted final planning consents in October 2011. The state of the art LED lighting and cabling system will be installed in time for next year’s 2012 celebrations.
